Happy Wednesday, friends!

It’s been a long time since I participated in WWW Wednesday but I’m excited to get back on it here on my new and improved bookish blog 🙂

WWW Wednesday is an excellent way to discover what other bookworms are reading and indulge in some bookish love! Thanks Sam for hosting.

The last book I read was also my last book of 2017 and one of my annual rereads to boot! Jane Eyre will always be one of my favourite books. Jane’s character is a flawed but strong one, the perfect heroine in an atmospheric gothic. Plus the prose is beautiful. Also, Rochester might be one of the snarkiest love interests of all time.

From one Brontë to another. Wuthering Heights is another reread for me. I should really be reading new books, but I’ve been meaning to reread this one for some time. And I’m glad I finally have set to it because it’s as enjoyable as I remember and all the characters are so damaged and flawed and horrible! It’s wonderful 😅

Tonight, my sister and I will be starting our buddy read of Howl’s Moving Castle. I finally watched the movie last month and fell too deeply in love with it 😍 (can you fall too deeply in love with something??) I keep hearing marvelous things about this book so I can’t wait to dive into it!

Well, that’s it from me! Share your WWW links below or let me know what you’re reading lately!

  1. Though I’ve read other books by Emily Bronte I never did get to Jane Eyre. Sounds like I might like Rochester though…

Have you seen/read The Glass Town Game by Charlotte Valente? It’s a fictional story of the four Bronte siblings and the fictional worlds they created.
